Beautiful grain in this olive wood board, it has been burnt black using the age old Japanese “Shou Sugi Ban” technique with a propane torch on one side. Glossy black resin finish on the burnt side, but you can see the gorgeous grain on the reverse side. After burning several layers of clear food safe resin were applied to the burnt surface.
