Lilac concrete bowl candle scented with gardenia and rose

Handmade in my Buderim studio, this oval shaped concrete candle bowl has been made with an eco-concrete material using a framed silicone mold. Eco-concrete is a water-based, non-toxic micro-cement used for decorative interior finishes, furniture and homewares. It creates a smooth, breathable, concrete-inspired texture, used for handmade home decor items, with a minimal / low carbon foot print. It’s also great fun and very satisfying to work with!

Once cured the bowl has been hand-poured with premium soy wax with gardenia fragrance oil, and finished with individually handmade soy wax roses with a rose scent. The candle has three wicks, the pigments I've used for the bowl are a light lilac colour, and to complement the bowl the flowers are individually hand-poured in soy wax in a rich plum colour.

In addition, the combination of gardenia and rose creates a classic, balanced floral fragrance pairing the creamy texture of white florals with the dewy, velvety elegance of a rose.

If you want to burn your candle, the candle can be lit and will burn like a regular candle, although the appearance of the piece will obviously be impaired.

Also if you want to burn your candle, please trim the wick after each burning, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn the candle away from flammable items or surfaces.

Once the candle has burned, the bowl can be reused as a decorative item, jewellery holder, in the bathroom, as a pot-pourri bowl, or as a charming accent on a shelf or table as it has been fully sealed. Simply clean the remaining wax out with paper towels and some isopropyl alcohol and wash with warm soapy water.

Dimensions of the candle are 15cmL x 7cmW x 6.5cmH to the top of the flowers.
The candle contains approximately 230g soy wax.
