Pale blue concrete rose bowl candle with quartz stones and roses

Handmade by me in my Buderim studio, this oval shaped concrete candle bowl has been made with an eco-concrete material, using a framed silicone mould. For this piece I've also added clear quartz stones in the rim of the bowl for extra interest.

Eco-concrete is a water-based, non-toxic micro-cement used for decorative interior finishes, furniture and homewares. It creates a smooth, breathable, concrete-inspired texture, used for handmade home decor items, with a minimal / low carbon foot print. It’s also great fun and very satisfying to work with!

Once the bowl has cured I hand-pour with premium soy wax using gardenia fragrance oil, and finished the bowl with handmade soy wax roses with a rose scent. The candle has three wicks for an even burn. I've used pigments with a light blue colour to achieve the pale blue colour of the concrete bowl and the flowers and hearts are individually hand-poured in soy wax in a rich burgundy colour. This bowl looks amazing when lit!

In addition, the combination of gardenia and rose creates a classic, balanced floral fragrance pairing the creamy texture of white florals with the dewy, velvety elegance of a rose.

If you want to burn your candle, the candle can be lit and will burn like a regular candle, although the appearance of the piece will obviously be impaired.

Also if you want to burn your candle, please trim the wick after each burning, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn the candle away from flammable items or surfaces.

Once the candle has burned, the bowl can be reused as a decorative item, jewellery holder, in the bathroom (as shown), as a pot-pourri bowl, or as a charming accent on a shelf or table as it has been fully sealed. Simply clean the remaining wax out with paper towels and some isopropyl alcohol and wash with warm soapy water.

Dimensions of the candle are 15cmL x 7cmW x 8.5cmH to the top of the flowers.
The candle contains approximately 230g soy wax. One only.
