Sue's mineral photos look fantastic on canvas and fine art paper, and I have exhibited several of her Australian Mineral Series 1 photos in these formats in Sydney and Melbourne. I'm happy to now offer the photos as prints in my shop, and I have selected a range of sizes and media to choose from:
- stretched canvas (ready to hang),
- unstretched canvas (posted rolled in a tube), and
- fine art paper (320gsm Sihl Masterclass Textured Cotton).
If you don't see the size you would like, please get in touch through 'Contact Us' and I'll do my best to meet your requirements!
A bit about Sue's Mineral Photos:
Minerals rearrange light according to their own structure. The colours produced by projecting wavelengths of light through a rock sliver under a polarizing microscope aid in mineral identification.
This photograph was taken by Sue during her career as a geologist and depicts a magnified view (under crossed polars) of radiating blades of epidote set in a fine-grained groundmass of quartz. The rock thin section was viewed at a thickness of 0.03mm (30µm). This photo is shared in Sue’s memory.
All of Sue's mineral photos can also be produced on ceramic tiles in a variety of sizes, please check out the 'Mineral Feature Tiles' section in this shop for photos and more details on this product.
Also available featuring this artwork are various items like mobile phone cases, clothing, stationery, tapestries etc on my 'not-handmade' site: www.redbubble.com/people/mineralphotos so please have a look there if you're after those items :-)
