Sue's mineral photos look fantastic on canvas and paper, and I have exhibited several of her Australian Mineral Series 1 photos in these formats in Sydney and Melbourne. I'm happy to now offer the photos in as prints in my shop, and I have selected a range of sizes to choose from in the following formats :
- stretched canvas (ready to hang),
- unstretched canvas (posted rolled in a tube),
- fine art paper (320gsm Sihl Masterclass Textured Cotton), and
- fine art paper (240gsm Eterna Elite watercolour paper - 38.5cm x 55cm only).
If you don't see the size you would like, please get in touch through 'Contact Us' and I'll do my best to meet your requirements!
A bit about Sue's Mineral Photos:
Minerals rearrange light according to their own structure. The colours produced by projecting wavelengths of light through a rock sliver under a polarizing microscope aid in mineral identification.
This photograph was taken by Sue during her career as a geologist in the 1980's and depicts a magnified view (under crossed polars) of radiating epidote blades, set within quartz.
This rock thin section was viewed at a thickness of 0.03mm (30µm). This photo is shared in Sue’s memory.
All of Sue's mineral photos can also be produced on ceramic tiles in a variety of sizes, please check out the 'Mineral Feature Tiles' section in this shop for photos and more details on these products.
Also available featuring this artwork are various items like mobile phone cases, clothing, stationery, tapestries etc in my shop www.redbubble.com/people/mineralphotos so please have a look there if you're after those items :-)
