Resin cheeseboard with purple geode and dried agapanthus flowers
I made this camphour laurel serving board with inlaid blue agapanthus flowers and a small purple geode as the handle.
The camphour laurel is from Western Queensland and has a stunning grain. I've cut the piece in two and then re-joined the pieces with a resin inlay. The blue agapanthus florets are from my own garden and I picked up the purple geode in Melbourne in late 2018 and have used resin to secure it in place. I love the fact that it is touchable and it adds incredible texture.
Dimensions: 15-16cmW x 43cm L (incl geode handle). [6" x 17"]
