Where do I start with this table? It has taken a long time from inception to completion, from a salvaged piece of ironbark to stylish side table.
This is a really solid piece, ironbark is an Australian eucalypt timber and it is very heavy (weight is 19.5kg). Each time I've worked on it has needed some pre-planning as to how I'm going to move it around or lift it up! The artwork has been done with metallic blue pigmented resin, with blue and white alcohol ink. I loved the hole in the centre of the timber whihch goes all the way through the length of the piece and decided against filling it (which would have made things much easier!).
The timber has been sanded finely and finished with sealer and varnish to protect it for many years to come. Could be used as a stool as well.
The table comes with four rolling castor wheels, and surprisingly for its weight it rolls along really smoothly and effortlessly.
Dimensions: 30cm (12")W x 34cm(13.5")H including wheels.
