Lapis Lazuli Ball Pendant with sterling silver bail and chain
I started making this pendant with lapis lazuli I brought back from India in 2018, although the stones are actually from Afghanistan. Lapis is a semi-precious stone, and Afganistan is one of the world's significant sources.
I initially made a small round shape with the lapis stones and silver chips in resin. I then embedded the ball inside a larger clear resin sphere for added depth.
The ball has been finished with an ornate sterling silver bail and sterling silver chain.
