Handmade in my studio, this coffee table features two slabs of live-edge camphour laurel from western Queensland. The centre section contains royal blue agate slices set in a bed of crushed glass.
I made this table top ages ago and it has been sitting idle waiting for the right legs. The narrow width of timber on one side made it difficult to find a set of legs that suited the table and were narrow enough.
When I looked at the table again and put the legs on, i really thought it might look better matte rather than the usual glossy finish i use, so i sanded the surface back, set sanding up to 800 grit and then polishing it to a beaiutiful buttery finish.
The entire table top is encased in resin.
The legs are timber and black powder coated steel 50cm in height.
Dimensions of the table top are: 40cm (15.7")W x 45cm(17.7")H x 3cm(1.2")D.
The height of the table is 53cm (21").
